It’s safe to say that Scott Swift and his wife Andrea, aka Taylor Swift’s mom, were the first ever Swifties.

The parents are fixtures at Taylor Swift’s concerts and events and can often be spotted interacting with fans, holding up a phone to record a memory or looking on at their daughter with pride.

The singer has often spoken about the love between her family and thanked them for the sacrifices they’ve made for her career. After winning top new female vocalist at the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards, Swift said “there are so many people that deserve to be thanked for this,” but she dedicated her acceptance speech to just one.

“And that’s the person that used to love to go to lunch with her friends and cook dinner for her family and sleep in her bed every night, and she gave that all away and left it all behind to go on the road with her 16-year-old daughter,” she said. “And so, Mom, thank you so much. I love you. This is for you.”

More than 15 years later, she continues to gush about her family. During her March 2 “Eras Tour” show in Singapore, Swift discussed her mom’s ties to the country.

“My mom actually spent a lot of her childhood with her mom and dad and sister growing up in Singapore, actually,” she said during the show. “So a lot of the time when we’d come here on tour, my mom would take me and drive me past her old house, where she used to go to school. So, I’ve been hearing about Singapore my whole life.”

During the “Eras Tour” setlist, Taylor Swift performed “Marjorie,” a touching track about her grandmother. In Singapore, she thanked the crowd for singing along.

“To get to come here and play a show this big with so many beautiful, generous people who are essentially honoring my family with what you just did with that song, it means the world,” she said.
