Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is set to make his musical debut alongside brother Jason when their Christmas single drops on Wednesday. Taylor Swift will surely be proud of hearing her new boyfriend tackle the music industry.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive linemen are releasing their second annual Christmas album titled “A Philly Special Christmas.” Offensive tackles Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnon, and Jason, the center, also have a few features.
Legendary singer Patti LaBelle joined Mailata in one of the tunes, and of course, Travis hopped on a song with Jason.
It’s unclear which song the pair recorded, but they spoke about doing so in a recent episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
Travis admitted he sounds a lot better on the record than live, which Jason credited the sound engineer for working wonders.
Jordan Mailata is the star
While the Kelce brothers and Johnson hold their own, Mailata is the real star of the album. He sings incredibly well and even plays a few instruments.
Mailata explained during an appearance on the “New Heights” podcast that working with LaBelle had him in shock because he has always admired her.
The Eagles christmas album is currently available for pre-purchase and set to drop on December 1. Funds raised from unit sales will go to charity.
Last year’s album was a huge success despite dropping on December 23. This time, fans will have a lot more time to play the songs before Christmas.
