Their chosen hideaway? The illustrious Villa Sola Cabiati, a Neoclassical gem nestled within the Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s breathtaking waterside property. With six opulent suites and accommodations for up to 12 guests, the private villa provided the perfect backdrop for their three-night stay. Of course, such luxury comes at a price-nearly $21,000 per night, to be exact.
Stepping into the villa is like stepping back in time. The grandeur of the 16th-century landmark is palpable, with ceilings adorned with meticulously preserved frescoes and hand-crafted Murano chandeliers. The walls are lined with museum-quality paintings, and the original terrazzo floors are a testament to the villa’s rich history. Once the home of the Dukes of Serbelloni, the villa still boasts period heirlooms and artwork, including the bed where Napoleon and once slept.
The couple made full use of the villa’s lavish amenities. From private pool dips to serene strolls through expansive arabesque gardens, their stay was nothing short of fairy-tale-like. A dedicated staff, including a butler, housekeepers, a chambermaid, and a private chef, ensured their every need was met.
