SHOCKING! Stephen A. Smith’s recent comment regarding Erika Kirk’s partner has sparked controversy: “I’ve encountered him – and he’s one of Charlie’s competitors.” – The answer is below 👇👇👇
Hundreds of political heavyweights and mourners gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for Charlie Kirk’s memorial service after the Turning Point USA founder and conservative activist was assassinated.
Turning Point USA “unanimously” elected Erika Kirk as its new CEO and Chair of the Board following the assassination of her husband and the organization’s founder, Charlie Kirk, during an event at Utah Valley University.
The announcement was made on the organization’s social media. It comes a week after the conservative activist was assassinated while speaking at his “The American Comeback” tour, revealing that Kirk himself wanted his wife to take the helm of the organization in the event of his sudden death.
It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side,” TPUSA current board said in a statement on Thursday. “Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests. And now, it’s our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA.”
The late Kirk co-founded TPUSA in 2012, when he was 18-year-old. Over the years, he transformed the organization into one of the most influential conservative groups in the country, often being credited with Trump’s mass appeal to young voters, particularly men.
In its statement announcing the leadership change, the organization’s board members signaled that they will continue with Kirk’s far-right ideology, while also seemingly invoking the Trump administration’s rhetoric at blaming some “evil” or “radical left” for his death.
“We will not surrender or kneel before evil,” the group’s board members wrote. “We will carry on. The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before.”
