Santa Fe fire chief agrees with key theory about Gene Hackman and wife’s deaths, as mystery continues to swirl

Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa likely died at around the same time, according to the Santa Fe fire chief.

The mummified remains of the Oscar winner, 95, and his wife Betsy Arakawa, 65, were found in their $3.8million Santa Fe home last week. The cause of their deaths remains unknown pending toxicology reports.
