Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, 21, attends first royal event alone as she prepares for life as queen

Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands today attended her first solo royal engagement as she begins a long preparation to one day be queen.

Amalia, 21, the Princess of Orange, was in the port city of Vlissingen on Saturday to christen a new ship – the Dan Helder – before it heads out on its maiden voyage.
