Don't Miss
That was tough and even tougher to watch in person and there’s a lot of work to do but, the Chiefs will be back better than ever. Since Mahomes has been the starter, this team has been to the AFC Championship every single season and been to FIVE Super Bowls while also winning three of them. This story is far from over! This off season is crucial and will likely have echos of the off season that followed the Tampa Bay Super Bowl loss. The O-line once again needs refining and potentially rebuilding in a number of positions and it’s crucial that they get it right again (I believe Veach will). We should also be prepared to lose players in a number of key areas and that’s just the harsh reality of what we are up against. A bright exciting spark is how good Worthy looked today and he’s building into a true go to weapon for Patrick. I’m feeling very excited for him and Rice to absolutely cook! Whether it’s coaching or personnel, we really need to get back on track with the run game too as the numbers today were just nowhere near what they should be. I think it is a product of Thuney moving to LT so fixing LT for next season should help but realistically we need a legit game we can rely on. I also feel like the defense were doing a heck of a job today and just had to be on the field for so long that they couldn’t keep up with the onslaught. They’re still one of the very best in the NFL. A final note for everyone who’s feeling down tonight… there’s QBs like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson who can’t get to a Super Bowl because Mahomes and the Chiefs exist. Enjoy the ride, take it all in and just know the story continues!
