Michael Rapaport wants to see Taylor Swift in tears if the chiefs lose the Super Bowl

Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport is making it clear who he’s rooting for in Super Bowl LIX and it’s not the Kansas City Chiefs. He is hoping for such a crushing defeat that it brings Taylor Swift to tears.

During a radio interview on 94WIP Morning Show With DeCamara & Ritchie, the outspoken 54-year-old didn’t hold back his feelings. “I want to see Taylor Swift cry,” he declared, adding that a “ginormous” loss for the Chiefs would be the perfect way for the game to unfold.

With the big game set for Sunday, February 9 between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, Rapaport is eager to see how Swift reacts if her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, experiences a brutal defeat.

“We always see her celebrating his wins, but will she still be all smiles when they lose?” he questioned, as reported by Us Weekly.

Swift, 34 grew up an Eagles fan but ever since she started dating Kelce in 2023, she has become one of the Chiefs’ most high-profile supporters. Her presence at this year’s Super Bowl has already been confirmed by Jason Kelce, Travis’ brother, and Rapaport couldn’t resist poking fun at her expected reactions.

“She’s going to be up there in the suite, surrounded by stars and I’d love to see that mascara running when the Chiefs go down,” he joked. “I want her to be yelling, ‘Why didn’t they throw the ball to my boyfriend?’ at Isiah Pacheco or Andy Reid.”

Interestingly, Rapaport speculated that Swift’s father, Scott Swift, might be in an awkward spot when the game kicks off. A longtime Eagles fan, Scott now finds himself in a unique position as his daughter cheers for Kansas City. Will he stick with his original team, or will he join Taylor in supporting Kelce and the Chiefs?

Regardless of the outcome, one thing is certain—Rapaport will be watching closely, hoping for a moment of heartbreak in the pop star’s VIP suite.

He’s rooting for a major Chiefs loss and jokingly wonders if her mascara will hold up through the heartbreak while he has an appreciation for Philadelphia, his true loyalty lies with the New York Giants.
As Super Bowl Sunday approaches, all eyes will be on the game but for Rapaport, the real entertainment might come from Swift’s reactions off the field.
