Game Recap: Eagles 37, Bills 34 (OT)

The Eagles came out on top in one of the most entertaining games of the season.

Jalen Hurts scored five total touchdowns, a new career high, including the overtime-winner as Philadelphia came back to beat Buffalo 37-34.

“Our guys know how to win,” said Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni. “You can win at all these different places, but when you do it together and find ways to win together, nobody flinches. That is what it was.”

First Quarter

DEFENSE! James Bradberry knocked Josh Allen’s third-down pass away from wide receiver Gabe Davis, forcing the Bills to punt from midfield after two false start penalties pushed them out of field goal range.
TOUCHDOWN! Jalen Hurts scored on the Brotherly Shove! A 23-yard rush by Kenneth Gainwell and a penalty on Buffalo set up the score. Three penalties on the visitors, and one on the punt return, gave the Eagles good field position as they marched down the field. Second Quarter

The Bills got on the board just under four minutes into the second quarter. Tyler Bass’ 48-yard field goal went right through the uprights. A big stop by Eagles safety Kevin Byard on third-and-10 forced the Bills to settle for three points. (Eagles 7 – Bills 3)
Hurts had his pass intercepted by Terrel Bernard after it was tipped at the line of scrimmage by Leonard Floyd. The Bills got the ball back just outside the red zone.
It took the Bills just four plays to make the Eagles pay. Allen ran right up the gut on first-and-goal from the 9-yard line to give his team the three-point lead. (Bills 10 – Eagles 7)
BLOCKED FIELD GOAL! Jalen Carter used his left hand to redirect Bass’ 34-yard field goal.
Just a few plays later, Hurts fumbled the ball on a botched handoff. The ball never made it into the hands of Gainwell, who was hit by the blitzing Jordan Poyer. Edge rusher Greg Rousseau was there to collect the loose ball.
The Bills once again made the Eagles pay for a turnover. Allen found Stefon Diggs for an improbable touchdown at the goal line. The Bills ended the half with 14 points off of turnovers. (Bills 17 – Eagles
