Families of rail workers killed ‘in an instant’ after being hit by train blast bosses for failing to protect them as Network Rail is fined nearly £4m over their deaths
The families of rail workers who were killed ‘in an instant’ after being hit by a train have blasted Network Rail bosses for failing to protect them, as the company is fined nearly £4 million over their deaths.
Gareth Delbridge, 64, and Michael ‘Spike’ Lewis, 58, were struck and killed by a train at Margam, near Port Talbot, after Network Rail failed to put a long-distance lookout in place while the two men carried out engineering works in July 2019.
