Channel 4 announces first-of-its-kind new property show in wake of explosive Dick and Angel Strawbridge Escape To The Chateau axe – with record-breaking prize up for grabs

Channel 4 has confirmed the relaunch of Escape To The Chateau after it was dramatically axed due to behind-the-scenes bust-ups.

The reality TV series – which followed married couple Dick Strawbridge and wife Angel as they renovated their 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson – landed on the channel in 2016 and went on to have nine successful series until 2022.
