Breaking News: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Plans Are Reportedly Underway and May Include a Sentimental Location
It has certainly been a busy season for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce since announcing their engagement on August 26.
For him? The Kansas City Chiefs season, which is in full swing. For her? The release on October 3 of her album The Life of a Showgirl and its requisite press run, which was particularly extensive. Now that the record is out and now that the Chiefs season is underway, roughly two months into their engagement a source speaking to Us Weekly said that wedding plans are “coming along.”
“They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help,” the insider added. The outlet further reported that Swift and Kelce are hoping to marry next summer, possibly in Rhode Island, where Swift has a summer house.
“They don’t want a long engagement,” the source said, adding that the couple “very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”

Speaking of family, it seems that the blending of the Swift and Kelce tribes is going along nicely. “Travis’s family adores Taylor and treats her like she is one of their own,” the source said. “Taylor and Travis have merged their friend groups and families. Everyone is deeply connected now.”
After her lengthy Eras Tour run—which took her to five continents—Swift isn’t currently planning a tour for The Life of a Showgirl, but she also is “not ruling out another tour, but it’s not something on the immediate horizon,” the insider shared. Instead, the focus right now seems to be “prioritizing her life balance with Travis,” which includes trying to unplug when they can.

“With both of their high-profile careers, it feels good to have simplicity and normalcy together,” the source continued of life at home in Kansas City. Another insider added, “Taylor and Travis are really chill. On a typical night in, they’re usually having dinner and figuring out what to stream. It’s very domestic and calm.”
Sometimes, the two will host family and friends, and Swift “puts a lot of thought into creating a welcoming atmosphere, from curating the playlist to setting a beautiful table and cooking herself,” the source said. “They’re about connection, laughter, and slowing down.”
A source speaking to People said that the singer is ready to “focus” on wedding planning and is “very excited” about doing so—but another insider added that “Being engaged hasn’t fully hit either of them yet.”
“It’s still kind of strange and exciting and new to say ‘fiancé’ when they’re talking about each other, and they both kind of laugh every time they catch themselves saying it,” the source said. “They’ve just been taking it all in quietly.”
