Blake Lively’s reaction to Ryan Reynold’s joke was very telling, says body language expert
Ryan Reynolds poked fun at his and Blake Lively’s lawsuit with Justin Baldoni on Saturday Night Live – but she was less than impressed.
Ryan appeared on Sunday’s SNL50: The Anniversary Special and in a skit with fellow SNL stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, he made a cryptic dig at the lawsuit. He said to them: “I have a question,” to which they responded: “Oh Ryan Reynolds, how’s it going?” Seemingly mocking the ongoing lawsuit, he replied: “Great – why, what have you heard?”
As the audience laughed, he went on to ask: “You know the materials that they made the cone heads with — are those edible?” as per the skit. Now a body language expert has revealed Blake’s true feelings towards the gag.
Speaking about it, body language expert Judi James said: “Laughter is a great diffuser. We see comedy reactions as a sign of ‘normality’ and encouraging jokes about a public narrative that might be controversial or damaging is often used as a way of appearing self-effacing and allowing for some public tension breaking.
