British BBC charity worker was murdered in Kenyan hotel room before her killer plunged to his death from eighth floor, inquest told
A British woman who worked for the BBC’s international development charity was murdered in a Nairobi hotel room by a man who subsequently jumped or fell to his death from eight floors up, an inquest has heard.
The body of Kate Mitchell, 42, a project manager at BBC Media Action, was discovered at an Ibis hotel in the Kenyan capital in November 2021 following the activation of an emergency alarm in her room.
