Men accused of trying to shoot dead Securitas raid mastermind ‘were caught on CCTV when they stopped to buy pop from petrol station

Two men accused of attempting to shoot dead a criminal mastermind were caught when they stopped at a petrol station because one of them was thirsty, a court has heard.

• Cage fighter Paul Allen, 41, was hit by two bullets shot through the window of his kitchen in Woodford, east London, on 11 July 2019, leaving him paralysed for life.
